Weather forecasts are made out of a central station. But what farmers require is a local weather forecast. I designed and developed a local weather forecast station that a farmer can install on their own farm. The station we developed had icons and supported English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. We achieved an 86% perfect forecast for 3 days. This project was funded by the state government and was selected as the top 10th project in TNSI [ Tamil Nadu Students innovators ] Program.
